Hi there,

I want to buy new laptop, I need it to be 15.6" format, Lightest Possible and able to perform some minor gaming (fast enough), I7 Core processor, over 8 Gb ram, at least 1Tb of storage, money is not an issue, I'm guessing under 2000 USD.

After carrying for years with a very heavy Toshiba Satellite of only 12" (Very reliable model never blinked), I have decided to buy a new one, I want it to be as lightest as possible but also powerful.

Also I want it to have good reliability, a laptop which hold some years.

The purpose will be studying and programming in college but also I want to play some video games.

Could you give me some good advice? I have been out of the market for a while so I ignore which good models have come out recently.

I find "ultrabooks" problematic like Samsung Ativ Book 8, they are very convenient, but lack of everything specially from ports and storage,

I have read that MSI GS60 is the lightest gaming laptop,

A local retailer in my country has the MSI GS60 for quite good price, It's 1920x1080 + I7 4710HQ+8gb ram+1tb HD storage.

what do you think, are there other options? Maybe Asus?

Maybe its the Razer Blade with 13.6", that that size weighting 2.03 Kilograms is heavy. I'm sided to buy MSI GS60, problem is battery I'm reading is too small for my requirements I wish it can last near to 5 hours in regular use.

. I kind like the style of Razer products but Being 14" is too small for what I need which is programming.

MSI GS60 is Ok but It worries me a lot about the Battery Life, Reviews outhere says their battery is 60Whr and it won't power more than 3.5 hours of web browsing and this with a GTX 860M which is already a medium class GPU.

I have found another good price for ASUS UX501, it cost a bit more than MSI but it has the updated GTX 960M (I know, renamed 860M) and a bigger 90 Whr cell battery, it claims 6 Hours of battery (which must be 4.5 hours of web browsing), reflective screen is a problem though, it reflects a lot the sunlight.

The G501 from Asus is also cool but is not available for the moment in my local retailer. I could buy it online for higher price.
