I want to connect a Toshiba Satellite C855 laptop to a JVC 6008V just for sound

Someone gave me a JVC 6008V surround sound system. I have been watching tv using my Toshiba Satellite C855 laptop using a Samsung SyncMaster 2492HM extra monitor. The picture its great but the sound isn't, so I would like to know if there is a way to connect to the JVC system but the plugs on the back don't look anything like the plugs on my laptop.

Headphone out of the laptop to any input on the receiver except phono. You will need a cable with a 3.5mm stereo mini plug at the laptop and two RCA plugs at the receiver. Very common cable,

To get surround sound you will need to set the receiver to one of the surround modes for a stereo input such as Dolby Prologic
