I was trying to fix my daughters Toshiba laptop I put it in safe mode to delete a virus and it shut down now it won't accept password or detect wifi

How do you get to know it won't "accept Wi_fi" if you can't get into the system? Is there more than one User Account on that machine?

Are you still trying to get into the system by Safe Mode or Normal?
