I7 cpu temperature

Hello,
I just bought a new hp pavilion dv6, 8gb ram (i7, 720 cpu)
Right within 30 minutes of opening I found the syatem is getting over heated. Is it normal ? To what temperature it may be cosidered normal? thanks.

The previous unit was defective. It way too hot to touch. HP replaced the unit. The new one still gets considerably warm on the left side, however, bearable. Core temperatures are now running around 64-68 oC.

That isn't too bad. The reason why it is hot on the side is because that is around the area where the cpu is.
