Yup there should be no problem, as they both have the same socket.

It's a risky proposition:
- first, make sure the CPu is not soldered onto the laptop's MB(BGA479)
- then you run the risk that the BIOS doesn't support that CPU. Look at teh manufacturer's website adn see what CPUs that model came with. Your best bet is teh fastest CPU that was an option for that laptop to begin with.
