If i hook my computer up to a 1920x1080 144hz and have low settings on csgo can i still get over 120 fps if I have a quad core

Solution
I do not think 120fps will happen(with that cpu/gpu combo), but if your screen already support 1920 x 1080, you can try low settings with Vsync off(so the frame rate will go as high as it can) to see how high it gets.

Cause right now im on the default screen (1366x768) and im getting like 80 fps, and i want to upgrade to a bigger screen, so is it worth for me tonspend that extra money on 144hz instead of 60 hz

I do not think the extra resolution(a just from about 1.05megapixels to 2.07) will work well with higher frame rates on the current hardware. I mean if you plan to get a new system or maybe use a second system at some point it may be worth it.

What are your current settings in game?

My video settings are optimized for max fps.
