Insignia tablet problem with downloads

I have a Insignia flex 10.1 tablet and when I rename a file download the next day the download is gone. I did not delete it so why would the file disappear from downloads and videos??? Never had any problems with Samsung tablets doing this

When you renamed it you may well have changed something other than the name, which is before the . and removed the extension which is after the .

Try connecting the tablet to a computer via USB cord and then search the tablet (from the computer) for the new name you gave the file. If it is on it, you should be able to find it that way.
