Has anyone got a Pioneer 1950 laserdisc players instruction book that they
could scan and send me or a link to somewhere on line that has one.

Or maybe one of you clever chappies could tell me if it outputs true pal
from ntsc discs

Thanks

Me so clever :)
Seriously.... I guess that the 1950 is the single-side version of the 2950
PAL/NTSC player.
Then there is a switch at the back-side with which you can change the output
of NTSC signal to 'pseudo' PAL (or leave it at NTSC) depending if your tv
set 'likes' NTSC or not.

The answer is 'no'... the PAL/NTSC players of Pioneer do not convert NTSC to
pure PAL.
