"private channel on YouTube" There is no such thing as private channel on YouTube. Google and Apple is in bed with the Obama regime, aka FEDS and they have access to everything in the Cloud. MS has been in bed with the FEDS for many years.

Almost every reputable home video security suite (multi-camera, with HDD storage, etc) have streaming through their own proprietary software to iOS, Android, and windows. And most of them cost ~4-600 for 8 cameras, which isn't too shabby

They invent an easy-to-use security camera, and the first thing you think of is spying on kids and guests? There are legitimate uses for video cameras!

There is no such thing as private "anything" on "anything" from governments and intelligence organizations, that is a well known fact. That goes for all countries, not just USA. "Private Youtube channel" means that it's hidden from other youtube users ...except if they work for a government or an intalligence organization :p

"Resembling an external hard drive (or a fancy air freshener)" This could easily be placed in restrooms if its designed to look like an air freshener. Which is sick on all accounts.

Its illegal to record other people without their consent in most states in the US. So you better invest in a couple of those "Smile, your on camera" signs. Those are not there to deter people from stealing in a store as much as they are to notify you your being recorded.

Placing a spy cam anywhere, even in your home is an invasion of privacy that will not hold up in court in all but the most heinous of situations, and can get you sued by almost anyone.

As always from Apple based companies, another over priced product that can easily be purchased for less money and better performance from any other company.

As a person that uses a baby monitor to monitor my 2 year old, I think this is great because the normally baby monitors that you get at BabiesRus only works with the crap monitor. Nice to know that there is a solution that will work with a IPhone or IPad.

$130 for a self contained ip camera that is easy to setup and aimed at non-technical "home" users, is a pretty good deal. guess it depends on the image quality and how easy the setup really is.
