I really do not understand counties like Iran. They are practically begging to be attacked. And Israel will probably junk-punch them in a way they never even thought about. I guess they just want to make sure people can't report stories out of the country when it starts to hit the fan there.

"We are getting closer and closer to North Korea."

Most important line in the whole article in my opinion. We may have to put up with some retarded politics in the US (from BOTH sides) but we still enjoy liberties that other countries are having taken away from them

[citation][nom]dimar[/nom]Seriously, this planet needs single world government asap! Maybe Google should take the charge for the initial 4 years :)[/citation]

I vote for the Iranian model of government as a template

I see Iran as a huge mess in 2012 and a major reason US moved out of Iraq (to prepare for Iran). What better way to brain wash your people than to keep the interwebz local? Fake news and constant praise of their leader will work on those that cannot think for themselves. Unfortunately the majority is easily brainwashed.

I'm normally at least somewhat anti-US, but I support them in their attempts to prevent Iran from having Nukes. They really are turning into North Korea, but a militant-religious version which is even scarier. If they keep going down this road more and more countries will stop trading with them and they will quickly fall to the poverty level of N. Korea. At least Iranians are still standing up for their rights and protesting these totalitarian policies.

Iran's current regime is crumbling more and more every day due to it's economic mismanagement, oppression of it's own people, and shrinking sphere of influence. A military attack would do nothing to achieve the overall objective: a free Iranian people. We have a problem in America with neo-cons that insist upon waging a new foreign war every two weeks regardless of the costs in terms of lives, money, and jeopardy to overall policy objectives. The same folks habitually sell short the intelligence, pragmatism, and genuine yearning for freedom of the Iranian people. We can't afford another war and we can't risk the coalescence of anti-American nationalist fervor that would result from yet another ill-conceived military conquest.

If we would not need their oil this whole thing would go away.

It's high time to switch the non-oil based propulsion, may that be hydrogen, alcohol or electric.
That let's see how the Arabs come up with the cash to buy the weapons to kill each other.

Instead of THEM cutting off our resources (oil) let's cut off THEIR resources (money).
Then we will see who has the last laugh :)

USA will be at that point too if the people don't open the eyes - its just a matter of time. Look around you! Every day a small step is taken into that direction where the government in the name of *insert random whatever* take away a piece of liberty and freedom. The end result will be the same with the exception it wont happen today or tomorrow... perhaps the day after that!

actually I support the idea of a single world government, but I don't support google, they'd sell citizens (instead of their info) to advertisers

I see a lot of people in this thread who just repeat verbatim what they've seen on msm news, with no thought process of their own.
Jellico "begging to be attacked!" they are being pushed into a corner by israel and america who want iran to throw the first stone so the israelis and american gov can pretend to have the moral high ground to the rest of the world.
Cookoy can you thin of another country that lies to it's citizens through propaganda and a new law that gives the power of internet censorship ? You know that new law that they say is to stop child pornographny, seriously they changed the laws name to one that noone in their right mind would object to for fear of being called a paedo.
Robochump fake news, wow just wow, pot kettle black
Dalethepcman, hahaha am still lolling n1 :)
Txsouthpaw, most intelligent post in here, but economic mismanagement could equally be levelled at any western government that's let the bankers have free reign for last 20 odd years with no oversight
