Is 2GB of RAM enough for a laptop?

I only want it to perform basic tasks such as web browsing (5-10 tabs open at the same time) and downloading movies and songs. I read that you can upgrade it to 8GB but i'm hoping this will be enough for now. I also plan on using Windows7

This is the laptop i'm looking at:

asus-x453m-notebook

Would it be suitable for what I want it to do? I can't find many reviews online.

I have a similar laptop with 2gb of ram that I use primarily for travelling.
Lenovo 110s
It uses a 32 bit windows which is what I wanted.
Really, 2gb is not enough. And, as in the case of the 110s, there is no ram upgrade possible.
If you find a used laptop with 2gb that can be upgraded, that might be ok.
I do not know about this particular laptop but the Celeron baytrail processor is puny.

If you are looking for an inexpensive laptop, go to the Lenovo outlet store.
2 GB of RAM will be REALLY slow. The OS has to swap to the hard drive ALL the time. Windows recommends 4GB and 8GB will be much better. I think you will be disappointed by the performance with 2GB.

I'd suggest another laptop. That really is not enough RAM for your needs, nor is it a good processor. Instead of adding RAM, add that to the amount you are going to spend and get something better.
