For the $2500 that Bose gets for this system you can do so so so much better.
Even if the size of the speakers is a factor there are systems like the Paradigm Millenia systems:

which can be used with a good quality receiver such a Anthem or Marantz. You get better quality of sound and construction with more flexibility.
