Is my laptop better than an xbox one?

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
(My CPU is 2.70GHz - 2.90GHz with turbo boost up to 3.50GHz)
(My GPU has 3GB Dedicated memory, 4GB total)

I might finally be getting proper internet and want to play some online games, but i not sure if i should get them on PC or xbox one. The main game i want is overwatch.

I can play fallout 4 at 1080p (everything else on low) at 30ish fps, dropping to about 22 with 45 deathclaws and 30 turrets shooting at them
And at 1600 x 900 (everything else on low) at 44ish fps, dropping to 30-35 with the same senario.

Game debated says that i can run overwatch up to 1680 x 900 at low - med settings

Would overwatch work better on my PC or xbox one?

Most cases xbox1 that's an entry level gamer at best. Basically it's an i3/750ti performance wise.

The i7-7500u is more powerful than what the XB1 has, but the nVidia 940mx is less powerful than the GPU in the XB1.

The 940mx is not really considered a "gaming GPU". Prior to the release of the GTX 10xx series, some would argue that the GTX 950m would be considered an "entry level" gaming GPU while others would consider the GTX 960m to be an "entry level" gaming GPU.

The GeForce 940MX is only a midrange part so it's not comparable to the optimised console GPUs (even if they're somewhat similar in raw strength). If it had GDDR5 memory, you would come somewhat closer. But most OEMs dont pick that with the 940.
