Is the Sony STRDH550 compatible with HDCP 2.2?

Just bought this Sony AV Receiver from Richer Sounds UK store.

From the (limited) information I have found it isn't HDCP 2.2

But I have just seen on the US Amazon site that someone asked & was told yes.

Very confused.

Any help?

The reviewer probably was mistaken on Amazon.

There's no mention of HDMI 2.2 on the product page, but on Crutchfield (a store dedicated to audio equipment) it noted this on the listing:

3D and 4K HDMI pass-through
-This receiver is not HDCP 2.2-compliant and will not support copy-protected 4K video content.

Wow, conflicting data for sure.

Since it is Sony reps saying it has 2.2 support though I'm inclined to believe them.

No HDCP 2.2, just 4k pass through. Comes with HDMI, can be misleading since it supports HDMI 2.0. The signal requires HDCP 2.2 from start to finish. Meaning connecting through the receiver, won't work. HDCP 2.2 player, receiver, TV/projector.

Hey guys. Thanks for your answers. I emailed Sony support & they replied stating that the Sony STR-DH550 does not support HDCP 2.2.

I have emailed them to let them know about the answers given on Amazon.com so that no one else makes a similar mistake.
