Is there a way of resetting a LG DV550 DVD player?

Hi, my LG DV550 DVD player has starting showing 'No Disc' when a dvd is inserted. I've tried a lens cleaner to no avail, does anybody know if there is a way of doing a factory reset on this model?

how old is your player,cause it sounds like its dying on you.

Thanks for replying aldan, i think its about 5 years old, but it doesn't get used very often. Maybe only once a week if that.

i kinda thought so.no,there is no reset to be done but the good news is that burners are really inexpensive. im in canada and they are about $30,a little more for blueray.
