here are the specs

Toshiba

intel core i5 4200U (1.6- 2.6 ghz with turbo boost)
Nvidia Gefore GT 740m with 2gb dedicated memory
4 GB RAM
750 GB HDD

what im worried about is the CPU. as you can see, the GPU and Memory is good. Considering the CPU, will it pull down the gaming performance despite the Good graphics and Memory?

Cpu is fine, what will pull down your performance is the gpu, like in almost every system. That card can play recent games at 1080p on low to med settings. To get upper mid level you at least something along the lines of a GT 760M

laptop counterparts tend to be slower than the desktop one. So you have a 740, considering that a 740 for a desktop is not really that fast, and a laptop counterpart being a tad slower, i would say don't expect much from it.

and since you cannot upgrade anything (almost) on a laptop, by this time next year, you will be at low settings most likely

I dont really have a choice since the seller doesnt even know if the GPU is 64 or 128 bit. I think it would be based on luck then. Hahaha. But anyways, in case i got the 64, is it too much under powered compared to the 128? Are the differences that much?

I live in the philippines. I've seen similar laptops with the above specs at around 31 to 34 grand (philippine pesos) and thats about 800+ bucks. But then again laptops here are prices higher

Oh high sir!! Unfortunately no. As every now and then i go to different places. And i wont purchase it for the sake of gaming and i know alienwares are the molters of gaming on laptops but are way out of the budget. The 64 bit version is halved in terms on membandwidth but are higher in terms of speed i think? And i've read that it is somehow just as good as the 128 bit because of the compensation done on the speed and the memory (the 64 is based on a DDR3 which is better acc to some sources). Also, ive seen someone play battlefield 4 on mid high settings in youtube using the 64 bit and he plays it smoothly with good fps. Since battlefield is on the higher end, i think its good enough for me. Ive also checked game debate .com and the CPU and GPU combination above gets a green star on crysis 3, battlefield 4 meaning its good on mid settings. Hahaha sorry my reply was a novel but please correct any misconception i have

wait wait, when i said 64bit, i am talking about the bus width of the gpu. so with all other things equal, 256 > 128 > 64.
and these days, 64bit is just too slow, its not even worth it if you ask me. as for the ddr3, well ddr5 is better.
