Hello! I've been playing minecraft for a few years and just recently started getting this problem. The edges of blocks have a jagged/flashy effect on them and blocks in the distance also look a bit grainy. Here is a video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNpthlGlQ6k I also have a few others if you need them. I have tried playing with mipmap levels and all the settings in game but nothing has helped it. GPU: GeForce GTX 1060
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM (15.89 GB RAM usable)
Current resolution: 1920 x 1080, 60Hz
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Home

Solution
try it with the vanilla client. I have a video of the flickering thing im uploading now, it is also vanilla.

still processing but you can see it:

Assuming that effect is what you are speaking of, it has been like that since they added mipmapping to the game. Not sure why you just now noticed it though.

I am using Optifine, and you can't really see it in a screenshot. But if you look at the video I put you can see it on the snow and such.

Try using trilinear filtering for the mipmap, it helps a bit. Make sure you are not using AA in optifine.

Can you see it in this image?

note how jaggy it is on the edges of objects. that is straight vanilla and is normal.

This is a picture with trilinear filtering on. If you look at the edges of the sandstone you can see the jaggy edges. I feel like I see it more than in your screenshot.

I see it in that video! Thank you for showing me. It's weird that I just started noticing. Thank you so much though for your help! I appreciate it :)
