Keyboard malfunction on Acer Aspire E15!

Hi guys, I am having a problem with my laptop Acer Aspire's keyboard. when I press the backspace it registered number 2 instead of backing space or deleting the previous registered number/letter. and the down arrow registering number 6 instead of moving down. I already reformat my laptop but still I have the same problem.

Try this...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the laptop (yes I do mean before installing any driver).
3. When the system reboots Windows should look to install the needed driver on its own.

See if that resolves the issue.

Is it doing the same thing on an external keyboard, if not, first try to reseat the keyboard connections, if that does not fix it, try a new keyboard.

Hello.

If webworkings' suggestion doesn't help, then it could be a problem with the control chip on the keyboard's motherboard. If that fails, then you can get all sorts of keyboard problems, from faulty key operation to the keyboard giving up altogether. Have you tried using another compatible keyboard? If that works without a problem, then it's your keyboard, I'm afraid.
