Keyboard opening shortcuts instead of typing letters.

I have a problem.My laptop runs Windows 7,but all of the sudden every letter I type acts like a shortcut.It seems to be the Start key.I think it's stuck,but I don't know how to fix it.Please help!
EDIT:The problem seems to be fixed,but I'm not sure.I will try to see if by any chance it could happen again.
EDIT 2:The problem is back,and it is,in fact the Start Key.I really need help.

See if the onscreen keyboard works properly with the hard keyboard disconnected.

From those symptoms I am guessing a key on the hard keyboard is stuck down or it has some other fault.

There is a bigger problem now.I can't log in because of the Start Key being stuck.So I can't even change anything anymore.It lets me type half of the password and then no longer lets me type anything.
