Solved! Keystroke logging

Is there any way to monitor keystrokes in Windows XP without installing spyware? I want to keep track of what my kids are up to on the computer but whenever I try to install a logging program it sets off my Avast internet protection alarms. Or is there a way to set up Avast to ignore a keylogging program?

Brickhouse has some hardware keyloggers. Type brickhouse keylogger in google.

By nature keyloggers are spyware.

Most, if not all AntiVirus heuristic detection processes will alert the user of this.

It appears Avast does have the ability to exclude certain programs.
