Greetings Joel,
Check the local stores for deals and the web for used or cameras. That
might be a good bet. If you buy from the web second hand, you do not get a
warranty, but you get a lot lower price. If your child is OK witha camera,
it may be worth considering. At 8 it is pretty young yet? Check the Kodak
site or try the reference numbers online, if you are interested in a Kodak
camera. A low end point and shoot model may be best as it would be easier
for them and less expensive for you. Let me know what you do.
