Im a die hard Nod32 user aswell, but Sophos is a highly respected AV solution especially in the corporate world. I have tested it myself and I'm impressed but old habbits die hard.

You'd think Paramount would THANK them, seeing as its free publicity in a way, and promotes the "trekkie" image...or am I totally missing the boat here.

No, no, no. The corporate world always puts copyright over common sense.

Weird because no one ever liked the Klingon episodes. It's like "ohh no Worf is going to talk about honor for 45 minutes and break something that is easily re-replicated, and then move into a song about the glory of disemboweling a primitive animal".

Of course, with Picard's crowd being "democrats in space" which is fine because socialism works great when you have food replicators and no monetary system, Ferengi are sniveling capitalists, Klingons are rednecks with redundant organs, vulcans are scandinavians and romulans are evil plotting Russians, I can see why nerds choose to rally around Klingons. They are the jocks of the alpha/beta quadrants; they get kinky about it too.

Honestly though, I think if they had more air time, nerds would have chosen Nausicans or Orion Slavers as their group of choice. If you're going to go alter-ego, there's nothing like a big green meanie, who - I have on good authority - you will not like when angry.

+1
Its the part of hollywood that is blinded with rage on the topic of copyright infringement. They only think they're losing money on this (vs getting free advertising / publicity) which is why they're trying to bully them around. It doesn't help their image one bit.
