Kyocera c6725 not turning on or charging just buzzing

Recently I did a system update I do believe it was on my bf phone and when I restarted it, the phone then no longer will turn on, charge, and only buzzes every couple seconds.....I held down the volume and home button until icon came up did a reboot still nothing....so I figure there is still a battery??? I'm so lost as to what else to do....pleaPlease help i feel do bad!!! I have a Kyocera c6725....model the battery comes out, cuz I took out the battery and held down the home button for over 10 seconds as well.???

As far as I know there are no updates (to recent OS versions) for that phone. Was it an update through the phones system (settings, system update, update firmware), or was it installed through other means? Or was it perhaps an update for apps on the device?
