Laptop ac power stops when battery hits 100%

I have a Dell Inspiron 15-3521 and am having a weird power problem. The laptop will power up and charge the battery to 100% but once it reaches 100%, the laptop stops receiving ac power and starts draining the battery. It will not regain ac power unless I restart the laptop. It works indefinitely if the battery is removed with the ac power plugged in. Thank you

Did you try going into "Control Panel" and then "Power Options". Then click on "Change plan settings", next to the plan you are using. Next click "Change advanced power settings".

Scroll through the options and make sure they are all set to how you want them. Including but not limited to, the battery and charger power settings.

I have the same issue mentioned before. Laptop Dell Inspirion 15r 5537, I've tried to go to advanced settings in power options, but nothing seems out of place.
