How to connect Yamaha YAS-108 sounbar to laptop ?

Dear All,

I have recently purchased Yamaha YAS-108 soundbar, came along with only Toslink cable (Optical). I am afraid to say, wouldnt know how to connect this soundbar to laptop. I have reviewed in google, only HDMI ARC cable will bring the HiFi audio (Dolby and DTS).

That soundbar has a standard 3.5mm input, use the headphone output on the laptop to connect them. Your laptop is almost certainly not going to have an HDMI ARC output on it.

Which laptop model is it?

The laptop model is DELL XPS 15, 9570.
I ave Thunderbolt 3, HDMI and usual headphone ports. Just am curious, would i be able to make use of any one of this port? ( using kinda external converter or adapter).

Would test it with an HDMI cable

Also you can control the soundbar by the yamaha app
