Laptop boot problem

Hey guys I have a Toshiba satellite and recently I overrides my existing OS with another OS. The laptop booted up regularly for the first two time but I'm getting a black screen with a blinking cursor and I'm not able tobacess the boot loader or the BIOS
Appreciate the help.

Which OS did you load?

You may need to use a hard shutdown and a power cycle (power cycle = remove battery and AC adapter/charger, press + hold power button for 5 seconds, then reconnect power). If you still cannot access your BIOS after that, you may need to reset the BIOS via removing the CMOS battery.
