Hey! I usually don't come here when I need help but today is different. Yesterday I reset my modem and router to factory settings. I can access the SSID on my devices perfectly fine but I can't access the internet on all of the them except my laptop. I'm not sure what to do now. In case you guys are wondering, I'm using a Netgear CG814WG v2 Modem and a Wireless N Gigabit Router WNR3500 v2. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance :]

Hi, I am on holiday in Limassol Cyprus. In 8 out of 10 koffie bars I can not connect with my laptop, but I can always with my Android phone. My Laptop works fine when I connect to the Android WIFI hotspot I generate with my phone. But I could not connect to the public wifi of most cafe's... Until now.
I took my time to sort this out. Disabled / enabled the Wlan adapter. Restarted the laptop, prayed to God ....etc etc .
What did the trick is this:
Add the WIFI network manually !

The 2nd picture is from my laptop ...it's in German, but the screens are the same. Choose the according line on the respective windows...

Update 1.
It seams to me that the problem is that the WiFi access point does not communicate in a proper way it's protection settings in a for windows understandable way. By entering them manually we circumvent this problem. However ... I am now in a place where I can not find a way to connect with my laptop Wlan. But I found also for this a solution.
I connect with my phone (Android 7 Nougat Samsung S7 ) to the public WIFI and than I connect with my laptop to my phone's hotspot with Bluetooth. ATTENTION ...do not use the Wifi of your laptop to connect to your phone because the wifi adapter of your phone is busy with the connection to the public wifi. So you have to tether over bluetooth.
Here are 2 pictures to breefly explane how to do that in Windows10. If you don't speak german simply choose the respective lines in the windows (text doesn't matter) .

If you don't know how to tether over Bluetooth in Android (on the phone side) pls ask me here.

Update 2
I used this "Manually connect to WiFi" now in many places and it worked every where except in 1 place, where I used the BT Tethering methode.

I spent two days trying all the solutions listed on the net. None of them worked. All my other devices, phones, pads, TV etc were connecting to my wireless device, but while my PC would connect and get WiFi, it would not connect to the internet. After the loss of much hair, I finally found that somehow my WLAN Service was not running. So if you are having the same symptoms, go into "Services", and scroll to the bottom. Look at the service "WLAN Autoconfig". It should be startup type of "Automatic" and it should be running. If it is not, then switch it to automatic and then hit start. Hope this helps someone.
