Laptop Display black - is it LCD screen or LCD cable

My laptop Sony Vaio VPCEH12FX laptop display nothing on LCD but works fine on HDMI on my TV. So how to diagnose if the LCD screen is bad or LCD cable. And how to fix either ?

Need help please...

shine a light close to the screen to see if can see anything as might be a back light issue.

I try that but have nothing. When I turn on it has white light but nothing else. and with HDMI cable I see windows on my TV.

So you think its the LCD screen not any cable? and I should buy one?

you would have to disassemble the screen & the upper half of the laptop to get access to all the wiring to the screen. maybe there is an invertor board needed to power the screen & maybe it died. start disassembling.
