Laptop fell on floor. Trying to find out what is and isn't broken.

A family member recently had his/her laptop fall off a table. It's now broken. The goal is to see if I can cheaply fix it or if it would be cheaper to get a new laptop entirely.

Laptop Info:
Satellite L55-B5294
Running Windows 10 (upgraded from 7)

Here is what I have so far:
1. Removed HDD because it was making clicking noises
2. Pulled off the back and looked for anything that got knocked off/around.
3. Used a boot disk to see if it could still boot.

The good news is that the boot disk menu came up, and i can still access the BIOS settings (yay!)
the problem is that I can't boot into the partition editor or mini XP (BSOD)

trying to load into mini-XP gets the following BSOD:

Any Ideas?

I looked around in the BIOS and couldn't find that option anywhere. Just an option the set the SATA interface between Performance and Battery Life.
