Laptop only works if power supply and battery plugged

I have a acer 5737z and a few days ago i replace the jack because my sister broke it . And now he only works with both power supply/battery the battery doesn't charge.

Your Battery must have died. Since it's a laptop do you still have it under warranty? If yes, Then go contact your store or the manufacturer. If you don't You will have to buy a new battery.

In the course the the jack being broken or repaired, you may hav overcharged the battery killing it

The problem is this acer works fine without battery before i replace the jack. And now only gives signal with the charger and baterry plugged. I already tested the battery and its ok.
