Laptop overheating processor asus k53e and slow perfomance

I got my Laptop asus k53e model. It aged only one year. it is overheating, slow performance and I can't even surf over the internet with it. I recently upgrade to 8go ram, but it still the same. I wanna know what can I do to have it working back.

ive never had this problem, but i would suggest a factory reset should fix it and get rid of all the junk, other simple things to help, Disk clean up, and deframent
