Laptop performs below average

Good day,
a few days ago (wednesday 29th july, 2015)
I bought myself an MSI GS60 Ghost Pro 606.
For some reason it came with a drivers disk although the laptop doesn't carry an optical drive, so I had to download the drivers from their website. One of the problems was that not all drivers actually worked, after unzipping them there would be no 'setup.exe', or it wouldn't setup. There would be errors. So now I'm working with only a few drivers on my computer, and I decided to try some benchmarks.
For some reason the benchmarks ended up different, ice storm for instance, this laptop got extremely low results, second to last.
but on Fire Strike, fairly high ratings, scoring above notebooks and 2013 gaming laptops.

Could anybody please help me out with the reasons as to why? And also explain how I CAN get these drivers to work?

Use something like slimdrivers which will tell you all the driver updates you need: http/download.cnet.com/SlimDrivers-Free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html

Use Driver booster. It should pick out the latest drivers for your laptop. You will have to however download the dgpu driver as it doesn't pick that up.
