Hello, I am using a HP Envy 15 5th Gen i7 processor, 16GBs ram and Nvidia 950GTX.

When playing any game on battery the laptop performs really good, but 10 mins after whenever i plug in my laptop the performance slows down alot and games start to lag with very low fps. I've tried games like GTAV, COD black ops 3 and assassins creed scyndicate all having the same problem at first i thought it was a glitch in windows 10 or something so I tried windows 8.1. Still having the same problem

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.

- Start by changing the Power Management of Nvidia:
http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3130/~/setting-power-management-mode-from-adaptive-to-maximum-performance

If this will not work do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Next is to check Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- Here's the link: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot make sure to set Nvidia as the defaul GPU.
