Laptop Randomly Shuts Down

I actually dont know if this is the proper place to ask, but i have been having a problem with my laptop recently. Its a year old toshiba laptop, but for some reason it has constantly been quickly shutting down randomly, no warnings at all. I do think its overheating, but hot or not, it shutsdown anyway.Theres no consistent pattern just happens whenever. Just wanna ask ppl experienced in this kinda stuff before i start saving up for a new laptop.

Have you tried running any temperature monitoring programs? So you can see if anything is actually overheating.

Also, you should consider (unless it is still under warranty) opening it up and cleaning out any dust and debris. Especially from the board(s), fans, vents, etc.

I cant open it up, but i know for a fact it isnt overheating, as it turns off sometimes immediately after i turn it on first time of the day. I should probably say however, i did recently attempt to update a few of my drivers at once using a program called drive booster which is around the time it started acting up. I did a system restore to a time before i had this problem, which helped a little, but the laptop still randomly shuts down quite frequently, so im not quite sure

I see. Have you tried, since making the changes, doing another system restore, not a full restore, but returning the computer to a point prior to the changes being made? If the problem is something you installed, and you choose to restore to a point prior to that, it should resolve the issue.

Well, ive concluded that it is in fact hardware damage that is most likely the problem.I restored it to a point before the problem, nothing, factory reset it, still no change. My laptop does have a few cracks on the base and side of it, by the power button, but i forgot they existed, as they never really gave me any issues. But recently the hinge on the same side as the power button kinda broke on the inside, so instead of smoothly sliding my laptop opened/closed i have to pop it into place. I guess having to pop it into place only damaged it some more on the inside. Im not sure why i didnt assume it could have been hardware damage up until now. Guess ill just have to save money to get it repaired and see if that works, if not then i am truely stumped and ill just w8 even longer to get parts to build my own pc, cause premade ones never last with me.
