Solved! Laptop repairs

Dear friend,
I am in laptops repairs. I do chip level repairs of motherboards. My knowledge is very limited. i have a very keen desire to learn step by step checking of voltages & checking of components & ic's . I do not have any circuit diagram nor any tools . pls hlp me or guide me to a site that can realy teach me theoratically & practically to repair motherboard.
Also if anybody knows about the machinery or tools to locate exact fault of mb pls help me.

How on earth could you be in repairs if you don't know anything?

It does not mean i do not know anything. As far as all voltages ie dc ie 5v, 3v, 2.5v, cpu voltages i know. I can reball north & south bridge. My main problem is
1-- step by step signal checking
2--- how to check whether my bios functioning 100% ok
3- also i/o chip
i have one chinese debug card which in no way helps me

Equipment. (for a starter)
(1) digital voltmeter - get one that measures Ohms, volts (AC/DC), Capacitance.
(2) O'scope, for signal tracing
(3) For testing IC's - an IC tester is expensive. It's cheaper to replace an IC that troubleshooting has Identified.
(4) Temperature controlled soldering station
(5) Antistatic work station - cheaper to construct than buying an antistatic mat.

For training.
(1) The library would be a good place to start.
(2) Google books on:
(a) AC/DC fundamentals
(b) Power supplies
(c) Waveshaping circuits, Oscillators, Amplifiers (both audio and RF)
(d) Troubleshooting techniques
(his is just a starter list.

You could also Google “Correspondence courses in Electronics".
