Question Laptop stuck in boot loop before post/bios

Hi everyone,

Any pointers here would be much appreciated.

I have a Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air laptop (i5/2018) that I am having trouble with - the laptop is stuck in a boot loop where it turns on, the keyboard lights up and the fans were for a second before turning off and starting again.

If I unplug the battery, hold down the power button for 30 seconds to clear any power, and then switch it on everyone now and again it will boot into Windows, but this is very rare and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as when it might boot - it just loops at least 19/20 times.

I have tried replacing the battery and fans to no avail - exactly the same issues.

Any other ideas on what I might be missing or is this laptop fully dead and not worth rescuing?

Most of the time fans going on then system restarts is a failed motherboard. Did you try to swap out any parts like the RAM?

The RAM is soldered sadly.

I thought a failed motherboard would mean it would never boot - the fact it boots sporadically makes me think something else, but I'm at a loss as I have swapped out the ssd and fans with no luck.
