Solved! Laptop suddenly restarted but won't turn on and won't even be forced shutdown

So my Acer Aspire r14 suddenly restarted but won't turn on. The screen stays black and the standby LED is just orange (supposed to be blue when turned on). When I plugged it in, the charging indicator LED does not light up. I tried forcing it to shutdown by holding the power button for 30 seconds but nothing is happening. Is there something I can do before I send it off for repair?

Try removing the battery and see if it starts on mains electricity only. Some bateries are so dead they can't allow power through themselves.
