Laptop Turns Off When Plugged In But Not Always

Hello. Maybe somebody can help me with this issue with my old Lenovo Y480, it turns off without proper shutdown.

Other inputs:
1. Still happens if I remove the battery.
2. Does not happen when in battery mode
3. I notice that the laptop getting hotter when plugged in, before it shuts.
4. Sometimes it can last 8 hours while plugged in but the issue usually happens for less hours, even minutes.

Try a different charger, check/replace the power jack.
