Laptop USB ports not working???

HP Pavilion TS 15 n044nr
Windows 8.1

All 3 usb port will not work when I insert my flash drive or external hard drive. I would get a yellow triangle by the device I inserted in Device Manager. The weird thing is that my usb mouse works and in BIOS it can see it but when it gets to Windows it won't work.

I've tried updating usb drivers, IME drivers, uninstalling usb and checked BIOS but nothing seems to work. Anyone got an idea?

Have you tried to reinstall your USB 3.0 drivers? If you haven't you can do that(driver chipset -> USB 3.0 drivers): http/support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/5405518/model/5450067#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

In case the issue persists, then I guess you may need to contact HP's Support. They should be able to help you out on that.

Is reinstalling the same as updating? If nothing work do you think a fresh install would fix it?
