laptop wont charge and wont turn on

Hi.I am using a HP laptop.So,my problem is that i havent used my laptop for about a week and most probably all the charge has drained out.When plugged in,the laptop's power lamp lights up for about 10 to 15 secs and then turns off.The power adapter is working fine.I have tested it with other laptops.i have tried every power failure methods.If anybody has the solution to this problem plz help me fix my laptop.

Maybe the battery is so flat it can't pass power through. Remove the battery and try to power up with just mains electricity.

i already tried this option too. But its the same.even with the battery removed,i tried charging the laptop.Again,the laptop's power lamp lit up for a few seconds and then turned off.It just won't charge.

Maybe the internal power jack has come adrift and not making a proper connection. How did you try the charger with other laptops. The chances of finding anything other than the same make and model that fits your charger and has the same Volts x Amps rating are pretty short.
