Laptop wont start

I have a toshiba satellite a100. i recently upgraded ram and hard disk but now when i press power button no light blinks but ac mains lights are working Can anyone tell what's the problem..

U probably use the wrong ram. The most common problem is that your laptop supposed to use ddr2 ram (as ur laptop is quite old) and u put ddr3 ram instead. Or u put ram which has higher/lower voltage than the system required, or simply your memory is defective...

Does the old ram work?
