Laptop (Asus G71g) wouldn't recognize a battery if it was plugged in. So i followed a guide, and it told me to "Uninstall Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery from the Device Manager" and now my entire computer won't start up. The laptop recieves power from the AC plug, but won't turn on. Help?

Hi,

Do a hard reset first, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then see if it will boot up normally. If it will not work you may need to reseat the RAM, take them all off for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure they are seated properly. If all these will not work last troubleshooting step you can try is to remove the battery and just connect the AC adapter then see if it will boot up and if it will boot up normally put the battery back in and see if it will be detected.
