Laptop's speakers started "popping"

Surely this has been asked a lot around the internet , but honestly none of the answers have really helped me out. Therefore I would ask my way. The issue is that my laptop's speakers one day started "popping" instead of playing sounds normally , changing any audio settings imaginable or drivers did absolutely nothing. Plugging in headphones makes sounds come out just fine , its just the speakers that refuse to work. I have no idea what might have caused this , the laptop hasnt been exposed to damage , or water for that matter , it just happened. The laptop worked just fine before this. If anyone has got any idea of what I should do , please tell me. Thanks.

Sounds like your speakers have just gone bad. They could have had a fault, they could have had something get on them, dust in them, etc. The only fix would be to replace them or get external speakers.
