Unless your HT has multiple HDMI inputs, then you would connect your sources there instead of the TV, and let the HT do the switching, grap audio directly from connected sources, and send the switched video out to the TV.

I HAVE TWO OPTION TO AUDIO OUTPUT FROM TV TO MY HOME THEATER. ONE IS 3.5MM JACK AND OTHER IS OPTICAL OUTPUT FROM LCD TO HOME THEATER. WHICH ONE IS BEST BUT IF I CHOOSE OPTICAL THEN I HAVE TO PURCHASE OPTICAL ANALOG CONVERTER.
