LCD TV Dark Horizontal bar

My old 52inch Sony Bravia LCD TV has a horizontal bar on the bottom 1/4 of the screen. From the left side it's lighter and it gets darker the more it goes towards the right and is blurrrd and images are burned in. Any ideas? I've tried swapping hdmis (which I knew it couldn't be) and swapping ports. Trying to salvage the tv.

An horizontal bar on the screen is always a defective LCD screen. The LCD needs to be replaced, which is usually not cost effective. Sorry.

The Sony Bravia lcd's have many many problems with the LCDs. I have thrown out several SONY sets in the last few years for the same issue.
