LCD tv usb port not working

Hello, I have a sony bravia lcd tv since more than 2 years. The usb port is not working anymore in it. The tv gives an error "High Power Device. Please disconnect USB" whenever I connect my flash drive or harddisk to USB port. Sony company does not repair it but it replaces the whole board in the tv which is very costly. Is there any possible way that it can be fixed? Please help. Thank you.

Sounds like something killed it. And are you sure its for flash drives or hdd's?? Looks like some of these tvs use it for wireless dongles

Yup. I ve been using my flash drives & hdds since 2 yrs with my tv.
