I have an issue with my RCA LED40G45RQ tv: images persist, even if they are only on the screen for a few minutes. For example, I'll watch a 10 minute YouTube video of someone playing a game (and there are static HUD elements) in fullscreen. After the video ends, I can see the images still in the screen when I go to the desktop (which is plain blue), or play a game with darkness. What can I do to fix this?

Solution
The only thing you can do is, calibrate the brightness. On some DVD (Close Encounter 3rd Kind), there is a calibration menu, it displays 3 black and white bars, you are suppose to turn down the brightness until bars are no longer visible. Consult documentation for exact procedure.
