Lenovo E440 upgrade cpu from i5 4200m to i7 4700mq

Hi,

I have a E440 with i5 4200M , i want to upgrade the cpu to i7 4700mq processor.
I understand the i7's tdp is 47w and the i5' tdp is 37w.

Will the E440 work with this upgrade ? Please share your thoughts. Thanks

Sadly you are unable to upgrade from the i5 to the i7 without replacing the whole motherboard of the laptop, as the CPU is soldered in place on the motherboard

i5 4200m uses socket FCPGA946, which technically means it's not soldered.

How are you saying it is soldered to the motherboard ?
