Solved! Lenovo E485 Beeps instead of other sounds

Hey, my Lenovo E485 has started beeping whenever it should make another sound. For example on boot it will make a harsh beep instead of the windows log-on sound. Or if I start a YouTube video it will play a harsh beep and then no other noise. Can anyone help explain/fix this? Cheers!

First thing I would do is run the Lenovo Vantage program. That should be install already on your machine, but if it is not you can download it from the Lenovo support site. There are a lot of system checks and update things you can do. I would update as it suggests. Then you can run a hardware scan and select custom and the audio controller.
