Lenovo laptop shutdown

My laptop turned itself off yesterday, it won't turn back on, the power light comes on when pressed but only for a few seconds

What model do you have? I would try a hard reset first.

1. Remove the charger
2. Remove the battery
3. Hold down the power button for 30-40 seconds
4. Reconnect charger and battery
5. Power it on

If you have a non removable battery, then look for a small reset button on bottom and hold that down for 30-40 seconds.

Thanks, I've already tried that, no difference, could the battery be done? Or the charger?
